Cultivating Life from the Ground Up
Our farming philosophy goes beyond simply using organic inputs. We focus on nurturing the soil, ensuring it’s rich with the essential fungi, bacteria and beneficial microorganisms that make it truly alive. This holistic approach allows our plants to absorb nutrients naturally, enhancing their growth and bolstering their natural defenses against pests and diseases.
At Jupiter Farm, our mission is to provide our community with fresh, nutrient-dense produce while preserving and enhancing the natural environment.
Worm-Powered Soil for Thriving Crops
We are proud advocates of Dr. Elaine Ingham, embracing her Soil Food Web Methodology to create and maintain a vibrant soil ecosystem. On our farm, we craft our own compost from a mix of cow, horse, chicken and sheep manures, along with saturated hardwood mulch and fresh grass clippings. This compost is meticulously monitored and turned to ensure it is both safe and effective.

Our commitment to sustainability extends to our unique 40-foot-long Continuous Flow Through worm bed, one of the few of its kind in the area. This system, more specifically the worms who live in it, transformed local dairy solids and fruit waste into rich vermicompost and worm castings, which we use to enhance our soil health further. Additionally, we brew our own compost teas and extracts on-site, applying them to nourish our crops in our Cravo retractable roof greenhouse.
Nurturing Nature, One Fresh Bite at a Time
In addition to our vegetables, we also offer farm-fresh eggs from our flock of over 200 free-range hens, and locally sourced honey from our resident beekeeper.

Our farm is also home to a small herd of cattle, including Brangus heifers and a Black Angus bull, adding to the diversity and sustainability of our operation.

At Jupiter Farm, our mission is to provide our community with fresh, nutrient-dense produce while preserving and enhancing the natural environment. We invite you to experience the difference that living soil makes in every bite.
